Gerrit Maxwell
Gerrit Maxwell returns as the 17-1's coach this year. In Legacy's third year of existence, Gerrit managed to do something no other club team from Santa Clarita has ever done, win the historic Volleyball Festival with his 17-1's team in Phoenix this past summer. No stranger to the club scene (14th year), collegiate, and high school coaching realm, Gerrit has a plethora of experience including winning a Western State South Conference title as Co-Head Coach at Santa Monica College (2004), a Foothill League title as head coach of the Hart High School Girl's program (2003), a season as a Division One first assistant at Northern Arizona University (2002), another Western State South Conference title as an assistant for Pierce College Women's Volleyball team (2001), two Mission league titles, two C.I.F. titles, and one C.I.F. State championship as an assistant coach at Harvard Westlake High School (1999, 2000). He also has been a physical education instructor in the Hart district since 2003.
