Adam Kaminsky
Adam Kaminsky’s passion for volleyball was sparked 14 years ago as a young high schoolplayer. He played on Canyon High’s Varsity team for 3 years where he won 2 league championships. As a starting setter he was voted as Canyon’s MVP his senior year. Since then, he has found his calling in the world of coaching. Adam began his coaching journey at his alma mater, Canyon High School. He was then asked to start both the boys and girls volleyball programs at West Ranch High School from 2004-2006. After two successful years at West Ranch had to choose between his two passions and chose to focus his time and energy towards earning his Masters degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge. He has been coaching under Walt Ker’s tutelage since 2006. He worked as Walt’s assistant coach for two years at Synergy for the 17 & 18 boys teams where they finished 5th and 10th at the Junior Olympics. Adam has several roles at Legacy. He is currently a clinician, private lesson instructor, 12-1s Head Coach and the 15-1s Head Coach. Most recently, Adam was hired as the Head Volleyball Coach at Mission College. The Mission College Eagles are undergoing their inaugural season. Once again he finds himself in a unique position where he gets to start a program from scratch.
Adam has been teaching Public Speaking, Small Group Communication, and Interpersonal Communication as an Adjunct Professor at Cal State University Northridge, Cal Lutheran University, and College of the Canyons for the last 5 years. He is currently just teaching at COC and coaching at Mission College while he stays home part time to raise his 11 month old son named Kaden. Adam and his Wife, Alisha, like to volunteer for the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Childrens Cancer and at their church.
