A parent spends a great deal of time throughout the formative years of her child's life seeking out organizations to which the family can become lovingly attached. In my experience, most organizations lack what I call a "core of excellence" where a meaningful vision is fully developed, a sound business plan is fairly and wisely structured, and personnel are carefully selected and trained to successfully carry out the goals of the organization. Too many times we simply settle for something good or close by or better than the alternative. I happily share with you that I feel you have given your Legacy a core of excellence that is unparalleled. Thanks for giving to the community what we're all looking for but can rarely find.
As club volleyball goes, our daughter's experience with Legacy was about as perfect as possible. If you are looking to join a club, our advice is simple; sign your child up with Legacy and then sit back and enjoy a fun ride.
Legacy is a unique and extremely positive volleyball environment. Obviously, the facilities are absolutely beautiful but it goes far deeper than that. The entire club and all its coaches are a direct reflection of Walt Ker's teaching system and approach towards life. After having our daughter with Legacy for three years, we believe there is no way you can find another club that teaches the game with more class and integrity than Legacy.
Of course, one of your top priorities should be to find your child the best possible volleyball training and teaching. In this area, Legacy is almost without peer. Legacy's attention to detail with teaching the game of volleyball is beyond compare in Southern California.
We could go on and on about all the wonderful reasons why you should join Legacy but we want to conclude with what we think is possibly the most important reason. If you decide to join Legacy, your child will have an ENJOYABLE experience, and what could possibly be more important than that!
Legacy Volleyball is a top rate club with a professional atmosphere. Whether you’re a Division I prospect or in the developmental stage there is a place for you. The coaches are committed to making each player reach their potential. They teach the basic volleyball fundamental as well as improving the volleyball IQ. The facility is amazing which allows for a variety of practices times, clinics and events. We proudly wear our Legacy gear because it is a club we believe in!
We have been with Legacy since its inception. When the time came to decide between 2 different local clubs, we chose Legacy. When our daughter was 10 years old, the most important factor for our family was that she would be taught the fundamentals of volleyball. We also wanted her to have consistent training of those core fundamentals throughout her years in club and we were told that was a vision of Walt Ker's as well. Four years later, I can attest that this vision is a reality. Fundamentals are taught, the coaches are coached and the players reap the benefits.
But Legacy is so much more than teaching the fundamentals. Our daughter has grown up with the club. She is privately trained, has her athleticism stretched, is encouraged to be her best, is taught strategy and sportsmanship and always welcomed when walking into the gym. The coaches (whether they are hers or not) seem to know her name and I can honestly say it has become like a family to us.
Beyond the coaching and training Legacy cares about the whole athlete. When our daughter was injured, she was invited back to the gym with modified training - drills were ran from a chair. This helped her mental game much more than the physical but, nevertheless, the athlete was nurtured and it helped her through a difficult time.
Our experience with Legacy has exceeded our expectations. Much of what our daughter has learned on the court she can carry into her life. We can proudly say that we are a part of "The Legacy". A parent can only hope their child will be welcomed and encouraged and mentored outside the home the way ours has been at Legacy Volleyball Club. It truly overwhelms us.
First, let us tell you that we, as a family, simply love being a part of Legacy Volleyball. Legacy isn’t just a volleyball club, it is an extended family for us. We refer to it as a family because we fell extremely close to the staff and other families that are associated with this volleyball organization. Walking through the doors of the gym at Legacy gives you a warm, welcoming feeling. Everybody there loves what they are doing. You can see it, sense it, even experience it.
Our family has been involved with many different competitive sports over the years. We have experienced a wide variety of programs and coaching techniques. Up until we joined Legacy, we had never been engaged in a sports program that we can truly say is best of class in all areas. When we first came to Legacy, we experienced their superior skills training and comprehensive continuous improvement program. After playing our first season with Legacy, we understood that it had the whole package, including the best training and coaching practices from both a physical and mental prospective.
When one walks into the gym at Legacy, they are greeted with smiles and hellos. When the teams are practicing there are at least 4 coaches on and around the court coaching the players, showing them techniques to improve, and encouraging them. Our daughter, Sarah, has seen her technique, style, enthusiasm, and mental game improve drastically over these past 2 years that we have been at Legacy.
We would not trade our experience at Legacy for any other sports program and highly recommend this organization to anyone wishing to provide the best volleyball experience for their child.
We just wanted to thank you and your lovely family for an amazing family fun day. We all enjoyed not only spending time with the legacy family, but with our own family as well. The idea of "family fun" is sometimes forgotten and it was so enjoyable to watch the parents get to enjoy having fun with their kids!
We have had an amazing year with Legacy. It has brought so much joy to our girls, and to us as well. To watch our girls not only learn amazing fundamentals in a wonderful sport, but to learn to love it as well has been our joy.
You truly have a gem here, not only with your vision of coaching volleyball, but also with your vision of creating a safe family environment for all to cherish. We can't tell you and your family enough about how happy we are with Legacy. ALL aspects of it!!
